Snake Peeks 4: Jaydin the Hound Dog

#SnakePeeks

It’s Wednesday, which means we have a new #SnakePeeks video for you! Today’s episode stars Jaydin, one of my favorite snakes of all time. Unfortunately he is no longer with us, but he left us with many fond memories, videos, and photos to remember him – he was always up to something cool. If you’d like to read more about Jaydin, click on his name in the topics section to see everything we’ve written about him.

The specific epithet of the black-tailed rattlesnake is molossus, so named for the similarity of their muzzle to an ancient dog breed. Here we see Jaydin using his bloodhound skills to pick up chemical cues left by some unknown (to us!) being.

We’ll soon be uploading some of our longer videos to YouTube as well, so if you don’t want to miss a Snake Peek or anything else, subscribe to our channel:
